Teacher Helps
Jameel's Plan is very well suited to classroom use. The following content connections were written to be used with Jameel's Plan and designed according to grade level TEKS. They are followed by activities suitable for ages 7-12.
Sharlyn Bammel is a retired teacher who taught in the classroom in Abilene Independent School District, coordinated workshops at the district level, and created a magnet school for area fifth graders that was housed at McMurry University and combined the talents of AISD teachers and McMurry professors and students. She developed the following activities, tied them to TEKS, and provided them for teachers using Jameel's Plan in their classrooms.
